It's not just iconic African mammals that are persecuted. As Patron of Friends of Red Kites I have been particularly dismayed to see the careless slaughter of our own talismanic birds of prey, especially after all the brilliant work by FoRK that has helped re-establish them in our skies.  Taken during the rehabilitation and release of a red kite in North East England while filming On Red Kite Wings.
